Is this HSE-approved?▼
No tool is HSE-approved, HSE doesn't certify software. What we do: use HSE EH40/2005 for workplace exposure limits, follow the format HSE guidance recommends, and include everything a proper COSHH assessment needs. The employer remains legally responsible.
What is a COSHH assessment?▼
A COSHH assessment is a legally-required written document under the UK COSHH Regulations 2002 that identifies hazardous substances used at work, evaluates who is exposed, and specifies control measures needed to protect workers. See our full guide at /what-is-coshh-assessment.
Does the free version work for real compliance?▼
No, deliberately. The free version is a full working sample with a heavy diagonal watermark reading "SAMPLE, NOT FOR COMPLIANCE." It exists so you can see the output quality before paying. Real assessments need the £29+ bundle.
What if my chemical isn't in your library?▼
We currently have 9 substances live, covering salon and cleaning trades. More are being added. Email info@coshhassessments.co.uk if yours isn't there, we prioritise substances actually being requested by paying customers.
Do I need an account?▼
No. Everything works without signup. When you buy a bundle, you get an access code, save it somewhere, paste it in when generating each assessment.
Is my data stored?▼
Purchase records (email, credits) are stored to make bundles work. Your assessment content isn't stored on our server, the PDF is generated and sent to your browser. Save your PDFs somewhere safe.
