Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 July 2026
1. About this service
coshhassessments.co.uk ("we", "us") provides an online tool for creating COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) risk assessments in accordance with the UK COSHH Regulations 2002. By using our service, you agree to these terms.
2. What we provide
We provide software that generates COSHH assessment PDFs based on data you input and data we hold from HSE guidance and manufacturer safety data sheets. We do not provide professional health and safety consultancy advice.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for verifying that assessments generated are suitable and sufficient for your specific workplace
- You are responsible for reviewing the substance-specific safety data sheet supplied with the actual product you use
- You are responsible for ensuring assessments are reviewed annually and updated when circumstances change
- The employer, not this service, remains legally responsible under the COSHH Regulations 2002
4. Purchase and refunds
Bundles are one-time purchases granting a fixed number of watermark-free assessments. Credits do not expire but are non-transferable. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase where no credits have been used, in accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Once any credit has been consumed to generate a watermark-free PDF, the purchase is considered fulfilled and no refund is available.
5. Access codes
Access codes issued upon purchase allow generation of watermark-free assessments up to the credit limit purchased. Access codes are for use by the purchasing business only. You are responsible for the security of your access code.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by UK law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the bundle. We do not accept liability for any consequence of an assessment being deemed inadequate by an HSE inspector, insurer, or client, since the employer retains legal responsibility for the assessment. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7. Data
Please see our Privacy Policy for details of what data we hold and how we use it.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
